With a SIS40215 Certificate IV in Fitness you are qualified as a Personal Trainer, allowing you to train clients one on one in a gym setting, deliver training sessions outdoors and work with younger adults and children. The SIS40215 Certificate IV in Fitness also provides you with the knowledge and skills to ensure you cater for the needs of all individual clients. As well as providing enhanced career opportunities, Certificate IV completion can also lead to further study at the Diploma level.

Up to 6 months to complete full time and 12 months part time. Must attend campus for practical assessment on one weekend from 9am-5.30pm.
5 weeks, 3 days per week Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 8.30am – 3.00pm
13 weeks, Tuesday and Thursday Evening from 6.30pm-9.30pm plus an additional Saturday and Sunday at the end of the course from 9am-5.30pm.
13 weeks, 13 Saturdays, plus two additional Sundays in weeks 1 and 13 from 9.30-4.00pm

Yes. You'll need to have completed Australian Year 11 or equivalent and be able to provide evidence of such; OR Achieved competency in Exit Level 3 score and working at Level 4 within the Australian Core Skills Framework assessment in Reading and Numeracy; AND Show capability to be successful in the course.
Also, you'll need to hold a SIS30315 Certificate III in Fitness and a current First Aid certificate (HLTAID003 Provide First Aid). *If you have completed an earlier version of the Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30310 or SIS30313) rather than the SIS30315, you can complete a bridging course that covers the competencies required for entry into the new SIS40215 Certificate IV in Fitness.
We've built a bridging course to support updating your knowledge and skills whilst allowing you to meet the entry requirements for the new SIS40215 Certificate IV in Fitness. We believe that everyone should be rewarded for prior learning. That’s why we’ve taken your previous studies into account and adjusted the fees so you're only paying for the parts of the competency that you haven't learned yet. No matter how you choose to study, either on campus or online, you are required to complete a 25-hour internship with a Personal Trainer of your choice. Using the workbook we provide you, learn hands on from inside the industry what it takes to be a Personal Trainer and run a successful client session.
Hit the ground running and finish your Certificate IV - SIS40215 in just 26 weeks full-time or choose to pace it out.
If you choose to study full time on campus or online, you will have a maximum of 26 weeks to complete and submit all assessments. If you choose to study part time on campus or online, you will have a maximum of 52 weeks to complete and submit all assessments.
