A Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30315) qualifies you to work as a Gym Floor Instructor or Group Exercise Instructor after graduation. Helping new members learn how to use equipment and taking small groups through basic programming – each day offers you new opportunities to test your skills.

Course fees do not include the Provide First Aid component of the course which is a requirement to complete the Certificate III in Fitness. Provide First Aid training can be purchased via the FIAFitnation enrolment form and is provided by Re:VIVA First Aid and Resuscitation Training Pty Ltd or Vital First Aid and Training Services, depending on your campus location.

Course duration is dependent on the study mode selected. If you select a full time study mode you will have up to 3 months to complete, and if you select online part time study you will have 6 months to complete.
The Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30315) is the entry level course for the fitness industry, covering 5 units of study, plus a first aid qualification.

Up to 3 months to complete full time and 6 months part time. Must attend campus for practical assessment on one weekend from 9am-5.30pm.
5 weeks, 3 days per week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8.30am – 3.00pm.
13 weeks, Monday and Wednesday Evening from 6.30pm-9.30pm plus an additional Saturday and Sunday at the end of the course from 9am-5.30pm.
13 weeks, 13 Saturdays, plus two additional Sundays in weeks 1 and 13 from 9.30-4.00pm.

In order to support the learning requirements of online students within the SIS30315 Certificate III in Fitness, FIAFitnation recognise that the opportunity for practical experience in key curriculum areas is beneficial. The teaching days listed below allow online students the opportunity to join our weekend cohorts at different points throughout the course to gain exposure to the key practical aspects of the course, in preparation for both assessment and the industry. Whilst not compulsory, we highly recommend attendance at these sessions to enhance the learning experience and outcomes of online students.
This session will cover all theory and practical elements of the client screening process. Saturday, 9.30am-4.00pm
These sessions will introduce students to resistance training, analysing key technical aspects of the main exercises and how these can be effectively coached. It is recommended that online students attend both sessions. Saturday, 9.30am-4.00pm
