We’ve been curious to know what the trainers and assessors at FIAFitnation eat for a while now. They train our students about nutrition and fitness, and are the most up to date with wellness trends. But do they practice what they preach?
We asked them to record their eating and fitness activities for one day and we were pleasantly surprised with their choices. Check it out – how does your diet compare?
Belinda, current lecturer for the Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30215), is a qualified Personal Trainer and has been teaching at FIAFitnation since 2015.
Our thoughts: Well there had to be green in there somewhere so the juice wasn’t a surprise. But using cream instead of milk for her morning coffee, that’s a new one for us!
Belinda on why she chose to teach fitness at FIAFitnation:
When I started out in the fitness industry I loved the working environment and the passion you find in all of the different trainers in the industry. I wanted to teach the course so I can help instigate this passion for fitness and health, and assist in making sure all trainers out there are well-educated and have the right knowledge to set them up for a successful career.”
Meet Sophie, the lecturer for the Diploma of Nutrition and Dietetics for Personal Trainers (10454NAT) who is a Personal Trainer and nutritionist and has been teaching at FIAFitnation since 2015.
Our thoughts: More snacking than we expected, plus a chocolate sighting. Loving the brand suggestions too so we can try these for ourselves.
Sophie on why she chose to teach nutrition at FIAFitnation:
I am passionate about the role nutrition has in allowing people to restore their health and live life to the fullest. Teaching this course allows me to reach out to more people than I could conducting one-on-one nutrition consultations – I know that one student, over the span of their career can speak to 100s of clients and motivate them to change their eating patterns. I am excited about the opportunity to assist students change the behaviour of 1000s of people.
So many people train hard and for long hours at the gym and don’t see the results – nutrition can often be the missing key. You can’t do a weights session then smash down 2 burgers, fries and a protein shake as a reward and still expect results.
The FIAFitnation Diploma of Nutrition and Dietetics for Personal Trainers (10454NAT) was developed in response to industry demand to enable Personal Trainers to provide dietary and nutritional advice to their clients. Take the next step in your fitness career and become a Certified Fitness Nutritional Coach™.
