Modern life is putting office workers at risk. Add to this longer working days and increased sedentary activities, corporate health is more important than ever.

Corporate health relates to happy, healthy, engaged and productive team members. It’s vital for a successful company and a satisfied team - your greatest asset!

We've come up with this list of corporate health programs and initiatives for you to introduce into your workplace. Suggest some to your team at your next meeting:

Team bonding

  • Skip the pub and invite a chef in to cook a healthy lunch. Get some inspiration from our own recipe tutorials here and here.
  • Try a team fitness class. Say Namaste to stress in a yoga class, or up the competitive ante and create an office sporting team. Andrew Papadopoulos recently put our team through the paces in a morning workout class.  And the crew were still smiling after!!
  • Hold walking meetings

  • Offer the option for stand up desks. Nowadays these are adjustable so you can work up to standing up
  • Offer supportive chairs
  • Have designated rest areas such as a break-out room, somewhere to switch off from the tasks that are piling up

Workplace challenges

  • Everyone takes the stairs for a week
  • Monthly wellness themes (Jan resolutions, Feb fitness, June stress release etc.)
  • Trench have some great ideas

The end result will look something like:
